I have realized through my 8 years of experience that insurance based systems and the standard model of care are failing some people.  While helpful for simple cases and early post operative care, insurance provides barriers to optimal treatment including the cessation of approved visits before returning to full desired function.

I truly wish to be able to help all my clients with returning to whatever sport, yardwork, and or hobby they wish without the pressure that certain services are not covered or are too high level.  For more on why health insurance misses the mark, click here

In my free time I enjoy rock climbing with disciplines in sport climbing, bouldering, and trad climbing.  I have a regular weight lifting and morning meditation routine.   Getting outdoors and enjoying all New Mexico has to offer with my wife and puppy through hiking, climbing and camping is an integral part of my life.

My Story

Since I was young I’ve always had a desire to help people
  • Graduated in 2013 with Bachelors in Exercise Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania

  • Graduated in 2016 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University Of St. Augustine For The Health Sciences In San Marcos California.

  • 8 years as a Physical therapist working in Santa Fe Since 2017.

  • 1 1/2 years of travel physical therapy experience in the mountains of California and Colorado

  • I Ultimately decided to return “home” to Santa Fe with my wife Sara and start a business focused on the highest level of care I can provide.

  •  Heavy focus manual therapy from the University of St. Augustine with 7 post graduate courses, coursework through the Institute of Physical Arts for strengthening, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular facilitation, and functional manual therapy.

  • Acquired my Certified Functional Dry Needling Specialization through Evidence in Motion in 2022 Requiring 119 contact hours.  Click here to read more about dry needling.

  •  Areas of special interest: I Thoroughly enjoy treating people with shoulder pain and low back pain wishing to return to anything from rock climbing, tennis, overhead sports, to just being able to cook, clean their house, and be with family pain free.

  • I also incorporate the mind-body perspective with all my patients through my experience an 8 week mindfulness based stress reduction course, two 6 day silent meditation retreats, weekend silent retreats, and my own journey with back pain.

The bio-psycho-social model of pain.

I’ve also come to understand the standard insurance based model also often doesn’t encompass the full Bio-Psycho-Social treatment of pain and misses out on helping people leaning more towards the psycho-social aspects of pain and injury.

These people end up falling through the cracks of the healthcare system and end up in chronic pain.

From personal experience with a lumbar disc herniation lasting and pain 2 years, I learned first hand how the psycho-social aspects can effect injury and recovery.
